All four oboloo modules are free to use forever, and each module has a Plus plan that unlocks extra features. This reference lists what's on the Free Plan and what needs Plus, so you know what to expect when you see an Upgrade to … Plus prompt.

Users don't need a licence on the Free Plan. On a Plus plan, each user needs a licence, and licences are shared across all the Plus modules you've bought.
Your 14-day Plus trial
What's included: every new oboloo account starts with a 14-day trial of the Plus features in all four modules.
How to see the time left: a banner at the top of oboloo shows how many days are left on your Plus trial, and tells you that you'll move to the Free Forever Plan afterwards.
When the trial ends: your account moves to the Free Plan automatically and every active user is sent an email. You aren't locked out and your data is kept, but Plus features show an upgrade prompt again.
If you buy during the trial: the trial ends straight away and your account switches to the Plus modules you've bought.
Upgrade prompts
When you use a Plus feature on the Free Plan, an Upgrade to … Plus window explains what the feature does. It gives you two options:
Request a 14-day free trial: sends a request to the oboloo team, and you'll see Trial request sent successfully. It doesn't start a trial straight away; the team will get in touch with you.
Upgrade now: opens the upgrade page, where you can compare plans and buy the Plus modules you need.
Common questions
Why can't I add a second milestone to a savings initiative?
On the Free Plan, each savings initiative can have only one milestone. Adding another one opens the Upgrade to Savings Plus window. With Savings Plus, you can add as many milestones as you need.
Some areas in the sourcing wizard are locked. Why?
Internal Sourcing Sections, Supplier Sourcing Sections and Supplier Questionnaires need Sourcing Plus. On the Free Plan you can still request pricing, add supporting documents and request documents from suppliers.
Do I need to buy Plus for every module?
No. You buy Plus for each module separately, and the other modules stay on the Free Plan. Custom fields, custom tabs, custom roles and the API are unlocked by any Plus plan.
My trial has ended. Have we lost our data?
No. Your account moves to the Free Plan and your records stay in oboloo. To get Plus features back, upgrade from Settings > Account Management.
