The Time zone Functionality in oboloo allows users to set opening and closing dates for sourcing activities based on their local time zones.

The Time Zone setting in the platform ensures that all time-sensitive sourcing activities deadlines are correctly displayed according to your organization’s local time zone.

This is particularly important for:

  • Global teams that work across different time zones.

  • Suppliers who need clarity on submission deadlines based on their respective locations.

  • Avoiding confusion regarding event opening and closing times.

Your time zone was initially set when the platform was first configured by the administrator in your organization. However, you can update it at any time if your business expands or operates in multiple regions.

Only users with the appropriate access can update your organizations time zone within oboloo. To find out more about user access rights, please check out this user guide here.

Key Considerations & Best Practices

This is a global setting, meaning all users in the organization will see timestamps in the selected time zone.

✅ Updating the time zone does not change past records—only future events will be affected.

✅ Ensure that all sourcing activities and supplier deadlines align with your new time zone settings to avoid discrepancies.

✅ Inform your team and suppliers of the time zone update if they are operating from different regions.

✅ If you experience unexpected time discrepancies, try clearing your browser cache or refreshing your session.
