Locations help categorize records across the platform, ensuring data is structured effectively. If a location needs to be updated—whether for renaming, correcting an error, or restructuring your organization—it can be edited at any time.
Editing a location ensures that all records remain consistent, without affecting the historical data already linked to it.
Locations must always be linked to a Department which acts as a child category. E.g. Location 'London' could have the department 'Procurement' linked to it. A Location can link to multiple Departments.

Key Considerations & Best Practices
✅ Editing a location does not affect historical records—it simply updates how the location appears in dropdowns and filters.
✅ Ensure location names remain consistent across the organization to avoid duplicate or redundant entries.
✅ If location categories or sub-levels are needed, ensure that departments are correctly linked to their corresponding locations.
